ADD VINYL FABRIC TREATMENTS
(SPECIAL ENHANCEMENTS)

In this step of our custom vinyl fabric development process, we build the treatment package that protects the fabric and helps you meet code.

The base coating gives your fabric strength. Vinyl fabric treatments decide how it survives real use: sunlight, heat, cleaners, kids, impact and moisture. That is true whether you are building athletic padding, industrial curtains, dock seals, truck tarps, specialty covers, healthcare surfaces or tensile architecture membranes.

Working with your team, together we design a package of UV resistant vinyl fabric topcoats, fire retardant vinyl chemistries, antimicrobial vinyl finishes, and CPSIA compliant vinyl options that fits your application and your budget.

UV inhibitors and color hold topcoats for outdoor life.

Fire Retardant (FR) vinyl chemistries engineered to meet standards like NFPA 701, CSFM, and ASTM E84 when specified.

CPSIA compliant vinyl treatments for schools, playgrounds and other child facing spaces, targeting restricted phthalates, heavy metals, and easy clean surfaces.

Material protective antimicrobial vinyl finishes that help resist mold, mildew and odor causing bacteria in healthcare, marine and other high humidity or high traffic areas.

WHY FABRICATORS CARE
WHAT WE HELP YOU DECIDE

✅ Fewer warranty claims from fading, odor, staining, or early failures
✅ Faster approvals where FR or CPSIA compliant vinyl is required
Cleaner graphics and easier maintenance with the right lacquer/topcoat
✅ Clear spec language your sales, engineering and purchasing teams can stand behind

✅ Target codes and environments (indoor, outdoor, marine, healthcare, schools)
✅ Cleaning chemistry and frequency in the field
Lifespan expectations and color retention targets
✅ Budget versus performance across different vinyl treatment packages

WHY VINYL TREATMENTS MATTER

Industrial use pushes vinyl to its limits. Sunlight fades color, heat weakens molecular bonds, and microbes attack unprotected surfaces.

One wrong mix wrecks durability, flexibility, and lifespan before it ever leaves the line. So once the formulation is locked, we shift to throughput: roll width sizing and slitting that reduce waste and speed welding

UV AND FIRE RESISTANCE

Specify UV resistant, fire retardant vinyl fabric that holds color outdoors and helps you pass fire testing on the first try.

NFPA flame logo representing fire safety standards for FR vinyl materials.

NFPA-701

California State Fire Marshal badge indicating registered flame-retardant compliance.

CSFM TITLE-19

ASTM International logo signaling compliance with industry material test methods.

ASTM E-84 CLASS A

UV PROTECTION

UV stabilizers and color hold topcoats help outdoor vinyl fabrics resist chalking, fading and brittleness so colors stay sharp longer on awnings, tents and industrial covers.

FIRE RETARDANTS

Fire retardant vinyl formulations are tuned to help meet NFPA 701, CSFM Title 19 and ASTM E84 Class A where required, reducing the risk of failed inspections, rework and delayed openings.

ANTIBACTERIAL

CLEANER SURFACES

Value Vinyls fabrics can be built with antimicrobial vinyl treatments that help athletic and medical fabrics stay cleaner between wipe downs by inhibiting the growth of odor causing bacteria, mold and mildew on the surface. These chemistries are built in, so they do not wash or wipe off under normal use.

We are proud to use exclusively both the DuraGuard and the BACShield treatments, supporting safety in finished products and greatly minimize the spreading of harmful, contagious infections such as MRSA

DuraGUARD logo indicating EPA-registered antibacterial additive for vinyl fabrics

An EPA-registered antimicrobial additive for coated athletic vinyls. Helps stop microbes from colonizing the surface and protects the material from odor, stain, and degradation. Ideal for high-touch pads, mats, and covers.

BACShield shield logo for antimicrobial treatment that helps prevent mold, mildew, and bacteria on vinyl surfaces

Antimicrobial treatment designed for warm, humid environments where sweat and frequent cleaning accelerate wear. Helps prevent the growth and spread of bacteria, mold, and mildew on the fabric surface. Available on select athletic and medical grades.

COMMON APPLICATIONS

Athletic wall pads, impact pads, gym mats, inflatables, divider curtains, medical, marine, recreation, and transportation tarps.
