Width, core, and put-up length drive tension control, how straight your edges track, splice frequency, and how fast crews can run. When the parent roll is engineered to your process, output stays consistent and waste drops. Slitting finishes the job by giving you ready-to-weld widths that match your patterns and equipment. Our automated  slitting machine delivers those precise narrow rolls from the parent roll, with clean edges for better seams.

Failing here adds project downtime and wasted material scrap that no coating can fix.

Yes. Value Vinyls supplies custom vinyl roll widths as part of our development process. We start from wider full rolls and slit them to the widths your patterns and equipment require.

Custom slitting is the process of cutting the primary, or parent, vinyl roll into multiple, narrower width pieces at specific measurements. It lets fabricators order vinyl that feeds directly into their welding, sewing, or wrapping operations with less waste and easier handling.

Vale Vinyls has the capability to cut various sized widths on the same parent roll.

Wider vinyl rolls allow larger panels to be cut with fewer seams. That can reduce welding time, improve appearance and lower the chance of leaks or failures along weld lines.

Fabricators use various, narrow slit sizes on their vinyl rolls for:

  • • Binding, straps, skirts, or trim
  • • Feed lighter, smaller rolls into sewing and RF welding stations
  • • Reduce off-cut waste when you know your finished panel widths

Consistency isn’t just about material; it’s about balance. That’s why each roll is wound to exact torque and tension control, maintaining alignment under pressure. Moreover, rolls are stored under controlled conditions to prevent telescoping or deformation.

We offer slit rolls that drop straight into your sewing or RF weld station. Precise slit-width tolerances and good edge quality are what prevent zippering and crooked seams later. If you need a number, we’ll align to your tolerance target and advise what’s realistic for the substrate and emboss.

HOW IT'S DONE

Get the parent roll dialed in so your line runs clean. We stock the most-requested widths and cut to the exact size you need during production or post-processing. Tight tolerances, straight edges, predictable handling. Less trim. Less rework.

We’ll manufacture to your target width (up to 201″ inches) or slit finished rolls to your spec for welding and sewing efficiency. Tell us the finished panel size and seam plan and we’ll produce a roll width that reduces waste and splice time.

HOW IT'S DONE

Set roll length to match your line, not the other way around. The right parent roll cuts splice count, changeovers, and waste while keeping crews moving.

ROLL LENGTH OPTIONS

  • • Under 75 yd – good for heavier or thicker gauges where roll weight and handling are the limiters. Easier lifting and safer material handling.
    • 75–100 yd – the most common for mid-weight materials. Balanced throughput and manageable roll weight for most unwind stands.
    • 100+ yd – for lighter weights or high-volume runs that benefit from fewer splices and longer continuous panels.

CUSTOM LENGTHS

We build to your target length to fit bay size, panel layout, welding or sewing stations, and freight constraints. Long-run rolls reduce changeovers. Shorter rolls simplify color changes and sampling. Final length is validated against roll OD, core strength, and total weight to prevent telescoping or core crush.

WHAT IT IS

Custom cut vinyl rolls so you handle less material and do less trimming at the table.

We are proud to use exclusively both the DuraGuard and the BACShield treatments, supporting safety in finished products and greatly minimize the spreading of harmful, contagious infections such as MRSA. 

SLIT ROLLS

  • • Full, parent rolls slit to your specified widths for straps, skirts, reinforcement strips and industrial sewing
    • Easier loading into welders and sewing machines, with less scrap on each cut
    • Capability to slit various sized widths on the same parent roll

SHORT ROLLS
