What is BACshield?

Preventing the growth and spread of mold, mildew and fungi bacteria on vinyl surfaces is a high priority to Value Vinyls. Vinyl fabric that is developed for athletic or medical use is treated with BACshield, an antibacterial, antimicrobial and antifungal agent used to eliminate bacterial growth in places where moisture and heat combined with bodily fluids can make for a high risk of infection.

According to the CDC, there are over 80,000 invasive MRSA infections and over 11,000 deaths that occur every year. Ref. 6/13. Don’t use untreated vinyl and expose athletes and kids to this dangerous risk. BACshield treated vinyl has been tested to be 99% staph resistant and exceeds all safety and testing standards.

Value Vinyls prides itself in product development, innovation, and research where safety for human contact is vital. This dedication has allowed us to be a true leader in our industry by engineering fabrics that meet and exceed the most stringent of testing standards. Our products are used daily across the country at schools, universities, gyms, recreation centers, daycares, medical environments and more.
